Satay By The Bay

Satay-by-the-Bay was an event that celebrated Singapore's rich cultural heritage though one of Singaporeans' favourite past times - Food. The event was commissioned by The Fullerton Heritage and sought to evoke the nostalgia of the old Satay Clubagainst the novel and spectacular view of Marina Bay. Guests were treated to local food delights whilst enjoying colourful cultural performances and movie screenings after dark.

Held in the month of August, the event was also held to commemorate Singapore's 44th National Day by celebrating its heritage and culture. Only well-reviewed stalls representing the best food of its kind were invited to be part of this unique event.

The event broke new ground as the first public event held at the newly refurbished Clifford Square, and attracted large numbers of tourists and Singaporeans to the Fullerton precinct, with spin-offs for existing tenants on the property.

AONIA conceptualized, marketed and managed the event, as well as sought sponsors and partners for its success. To accompany the local food delights, specialty beer Archipelago Beer was approached to be the Official Beer partner. The Online Partner for the event was Quaffs.com, the Official Media Partner Wine & Dine magazine, and Official Film Partners were Shaw, Objectif Films and Sinema.sg. The event was supported by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB). Funds were also raised at the event for the Community Chest through food sales.

A Glittering Christmas at The Fullerton Heritage

AONIA worked closely with The Fullerton Heritage to create a campaign with the objectives of attracting a greater crowd and online attention during the highly competitive Christmas season to its properties which include The Fullerton Hotel, Waterboat House, One Fullerton and Clifford Pier.

Custom acts were specially created for the event, including Singing Santarina and Her Sweet Elves, and The Winter's Thrill Skate Show. Other acts included performances by award winning acapella group Equivox, The BonSobre Brothers and recording Jazz artiste Anne Weerapass.

The campaign included an online photography competition judged by the President of the Photographic Society of Singapore, with the grand prize being a pair of return tickets to Paris courtesy of Air France. Other prize sponsors included Mouawad, L'Oreal, Starbucks, OverEasy, The Butter Factory, Le Saint Julien, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Jing.

AONIA also managed the Advertising (Print & Radio), Public Relations and Online Marketing for this campaign; high PR value in excess of SGD 250,000 was achieved, with more than 2.4 million web impressions attained.

Overall, AONIA was in charge of Advertising , Event Management, Event Documentation, Graphic Design, Media Relations and Monitoring (Pre, During and Post campaign), Online Marketing, Partnerships and Sponsorships, Show Creation and Web Programming (Contests and CRM features).

Yakun 60th Anniversary Celebrations

A successful Franchise renowned for its trademark coffee and refreshments, Yakun awarded AONIA the privilege of managing their 60th Anniversary celebrations held at their flagship Far East Square outlet. More than 200 exclusive partners and members of the media were invited to this exclusive celebration graced by Mr Chia Boon Pin, Chief Operating Officer of Far East Organisation, as Guest-of-Honour.

The occasion was also an opportunity to serve the cause of charity, as guests took advantage of this occasion to donate to Club Rainbow.

alife Ltd brand building & fund raising campaign

aLife Ltd is a non-profit organisation providing counselling and care to women and their families for problems related to child-bearing. AONIA conceived and executed an awareness raising campaign culminating in a 5-day fund-raising exhibition at Westmall. To generate greater public interest, AONIA arranged a forum by local MediaCorp celebrities Edmund Chen, Xiang Yun and Huang Wen Yong on Family Life. UFM 100.3 DJ Danny Yeo compered for the event whilst ocarina artist Atman performed pieces from his album, in addition to performances specially staged for the event by well-known local performing groups. The aLife theme song, 'The Greatest Gift of All ' was also specially composed and performed for the occasion by AONIA. The 'Your Child is Beautiful ' photo exhibition was also conducted.

Campaign partners included Canon, Harvey Norman, LYRA Asia, Kordel 's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Swensen 's, Woman 's World magazine, the Lee Foundation, the South West Community Development Council, Westmall and ZoCards.

APB (S) Pte Ltd Commercial Conference

One of the largest breweries in Asia, APB (S) Pte Ltd is renowned for their award-winning beers. AONIA conceived and managed an engaging, enriching and entertaining day-long programme for their annual conference that met APB 's corporate objectives of communicating its business goals and building greater camaraderie amongst its management.

Galderma 'Great Skin & You' Forum

AONIA worked closely with Galderma and the Dermalogical Society of Singapore for this sell-out public forum held at The Suntec City Convention Centre. Various issues related to skincare such as Acne and Pigmentation were addressed to a crowd of over 500 by highly regarded dermatologists Dr Cheong Wai Kwong, Dr Cheong Lai Leng, Dr Goh Boon Kee and Dr Ang Por. The forum was an effective platform for the recommendation of Galderma's key products Cetaphil cleanser (for sensitive skin) and Tri-Luma cream (for the treatment of melasma).

AONIA was responsible for the advertising and event management of the forum. Galderma was highly satisfied with the successful outcomes achieved within budget.

World's Longest Underwater Submergence

AONIA assisted adventurer Khoo Swee Chiow for his setting of a new world record for the longest submergence underwater on 9 August 2005 with the time of 220 hours. The record was timed to be broken on Christmas Day 2005 as a 'present' to the Nation.

AONIA managed the coordination of sponsorship and supporters, the media relations and the record breaking attempt, including the careful keeping of records sent to the Guinness Book of Records for verification. Keen media interest was created for the record-breaking attempt, with extensive coverage during and after the attempt.

Sponsors of the record breaker included BALL watches, Energizer batteries, Hyperbaric Medical Services, SAF Yacht Club, the Singapore Civil Defence Force, North East Community Development Council and The Water Consultant.

'Heights 2005' Countdown Celebrations

Rousing entertainment brought cheer to an appreciative audience of more than 3000 in a fun-filled and festive welcome of the New Year. AONIA also arranged performances by MediaCorp celebrity Cynthia Koh and renowned xinyao singer Chua Li Lian, who both performed popular tunes and bantered with the crowd to their enjoyment. The Guest-of-Honour was Mr Matthias Yao, Mayor of South East district. 'Heights 2005' was a Countdown celebration with a conscience, raising funds for the victims of the 26 Dec 2004 tsunami.

The event was supported by The People's Association, South East Community Development Council and Singapore Pools.

AONIA also jointly organised the next year for 'Heights 2006' which was graced by Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong as Guest-of-Honour.

The West Medical Group

The West Medical Group is one of America's premier centers for oncology, hematology, radiology, and other advanced medical care dedicated to leaving 'No Stone Unturned' in ensuring patient recovery. In 2008, it established the Singapore Cancer centre at the Camden Medical Centre. Having a relatively new presence in Singapore, it required strong Media Relations capabilities to ensure effective outreach to its target audience.

AONIA planned and implemented a Public Relations campaign that attained over SGD 400,000 of PR value over a 3- month period. AONIA also worked closely with its management to create a series of Public Forums focused on the prevention and treatment of Cancer recorded and posted on its website for further audience outreach. As part of the West Medical Group's community outreach efforts, AONIA also arranged for a cheque of Ten Thousand Singapore Dollars to be presented to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
